Tips & Tricks for Making this Recipe
When you’re getting the ingredients for this juice opt for organic. This especially applies to celery. Celery stalks are characterized by a high level of porosity, making them prone to retaining the pesticides used during cultivation.
Ingredients and their health properties:
Green Tea:
Green tea is a rich source of catechins, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which has powerful antioxidant properties. These antioxidants may help protect cells from damage and reduce inflammation. Green tea also contains L-theanine, an amino acid that may provide calming effects and improve cognitive function.
Lemon:
Lemons are high in vitamin C, a crucial antioxidant that supports immune function and collagen production for healthy skin. They also contain flavonoids, which have potential anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. The citric acid in lemons may aid digestion and enhance the absorption of minerals.
Celery:
Celery is a low-calorie vegetable rich in dietary fiber, particularly insoluble fiber. This fiber supports digestive health by promoting regular bowel movements. Additionally, celery contains vitamins such as vitamin K and folate, along with minerals like potassium, which is essential for maintaining proper fluid balance and heart health.
White / Green Cabbage:
White cabbage ( also known as green cabbage) is a cruciferous vegetable packed with vitamins, including vitamin C for immune support and vitamin K for bone health. It also contains glucosinolates, compounds that may have anti-cancer properties. The fiber in cabbage aids digestion, while antioxidants contribute to overall cellular health.
Kiwi:
Kiwi is a nutrient-dense fruit, rich in vitamin C, vitamin K, and vitamin E. It also provides dietary fiber, aiding in digestion and promoting satiety. Kiwi’s high antioxidant content, including polyphenols and carotenoids, may have protective effects against oxidative stress and inflammation.
Broccoli:
Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable known for its abundance of nutrients. It is a great source of vitamins C and K, along with folate and various B-vitamins. Broccoli also contains sulforaphane, a compound with potential anti-cancer properties. The fiber in broccoli supports digestive health, and the antioxidants contribute to overall well-being.
Cucumber:
Cucumbers are hydrating vegetables with a low calorie content. They provide vitamins such as vitamin K and vitamin C, supporting bone health and immune function. Cucumbers also contain antioxidants like flavonoids, which offer anti-inflammatory benefits.
